Guillon-Painturaud stopped selling to the big Cognac houses in the 1970s and started bottling the Cognac made from their 18 hectares of Ugni Blanc in the Grande Champagne appellation. Only water is added - no caramel, sugar, or boisé which are commonly found in other Cognacs.
Renaissance is their oldest Cognac - the average age is 40 years.
